Downtown Van is bringing free movie nights to downtown Vancouver again this summer and they’ve invited Vancouver Mysteries to host the pre-movie entertainment for their screening of She’s the One. Starting at 6PM, look for these experiences at the Summer Movie Nights event on July 16 2026.

Time: 5PM (movie starts at sundown)
Price: This event is free to attend
Important Info:
- Some seating is available but it is first come, first serve. We encourage you to bring your own seating and blankets.
- Movies are played on a 33-foot inflatable screen and begin at sundown.
- Dress warmly for when the sun sets as it can still get cool at night!

Puzzles
Look for the Vancouver Mysteries Tent at Summer Movie Nights. Meet the Experience Team and pick up some puzzles to solve! We always have a variety of challenges at our experiences so there is something for everyone – can you use your detective skills to solve the puzzles?
Prizes
Each puzzle is also a ballot (very mysterious)! You have four chances to enter to win some prizes, including tickets to our next Murder is a Drag show and other experiences in Vancouver. Make sure you get your ballots in before the pre-show begins as we will be announcing the winners from the stage.
Spotlight: Drag Kings
The Drag Kings in our Murder is a Drag Ensemble will be performing before the movie begins! We look forward to introducing you to the talented drag kings behind the characters in our four Murder is a Drag shows!

About Summer Movie Nights
The free murder mystery movie night on Thursday July 16 is the 1st Summer Movie Nights event of the summer! You can see all of the events listed at dtvan.ca.
All five movie nights will also include:

- Summer Movie Nights mascot, Poppy
- MC by Alannah Brittany, a Vancouver-based comedian, actor, and producer
- Pre-movie trivia by Drew’s Clues
- Music by DJ Chip$
- Makemobile, a hands-on felting station
- Custom balloon art by Twistin’ Sam and facepainting for all ages by Crimson Makeup
- Moonlit Memories’ free photobooth, plus a new roving photographer experience

DowntownVan is the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association and Vancouver Mysteries has been a member since February 2023 when we moved our offices to this area. Vancouver Mysteries has been bringing outdoor adventures and experiences to downtown Vancouver since 2014.
