MURDER IS A DRAG… IN GASTOWN!
Dinner, Drag, Drinks… and a Detective? A murder mystery drag show upstairs at the Water Street Cafe located at 300 Water Street in Gastown, Vancouver.
Can you solve the murder? Interact with the suspects, solve a puzzle, collect clues and help our detective solve the murder!
This event is 19+
- Doors open up to 1 hour before showtime (check your event details for timing and plan to arrive early to check in, get seated, place your orders and possibly be given special role assignments) Seating is first come, first serve – smaller groups may also be seated at a shared table with other groups.
- 90 minute murder mystery experience (with two intermissions)
- Interactive or Just Want to Watch? You get to choose when you arrive.
- Fun & Games– in the spirit of Vancouver Mysteries games, there are puzzles to solve & clues to spot (optional)
- Drag performances – the three suspects in this murder mystery are drag performers and they will also perform songs!
- Prizes! You can vote for who you think is the murderer!
- Photo Ops with cast after show!
Note: if you want to be seated together, please buy your tickets together! We will do our best to accommodate other requests if you contact us before the event. We can not guarantee seating choice if you wait until the last minute.
Murder Mystery Dinners at Water Street Cafe
We are thrilled to bring our hit show to the second floor of the Water Street Cafe in Gastown! Tickets at this venue include a three course menu. Please reply back from your booking confirmation if you have any dietary restrictions and we’ll pass that information along to the kitchen. Showtime: 7PM
Location: Water Street Cafe – Second Floor (300 Water Street)
Price: $105 per person (plus tax, server gratuity and fees).
Includes: the ticket price includes the 90 minute show and dinner at Water Street Cafe (selected from a three course menu for this special event.
Not included: an automatic gratuity calculated for the meal service, tax, and a booking fee added by Xola (our booking software) will be calculated and added during your booking. Hot tip! The Murder is a Drag Series
We have two chapters of Murder is a Drag so far and another show will premiere in 2025. Each chapter takes place in a different setting with a different murder victim and 3 different suspects. These murder mystery shows were created by Vancouver Mysteries and are not available anywhere else.
Chapter 1: Dinner Date With Death – a murder mystery set at a restaurant. This show premiered in March 2024 to a sold out audience.
Chapter 2: Wake the Dead – takes place after a funeral so we hope you will attend wearing black out of respect for the guest of honour. This chapter premiered in May 2024 to two back-to-back shows in one night (both sold out).
Chapter 3: coming in 2025
