Chapter 3 of our Murder is a Drag series is a wedding whodunit!

The mystery unfolds during a wedding and reception – can you help the detective solve the mystery? The suspects and the detective are drag performers (watch for clues to be revealed during their songs!). You don’t need to watch the shows in any order – each one is a standalone story.

The Experience

The Production flips the script on traditional dinner theatre by combining a fully interactive murder mystery game with a hilarious script and drag performances that also reveal clues to the mystery.
The Plot: You attend as “wedding guests” to a chaotic ceremony filled with love triangles, jealousy, and a sudden murder.
The Setup: The detective and all three prime suspects are local drag artists who perform both live and lip-sync musical numbers that double as clue drops.
Audience Interaction: Attendees receive puzzles at their tables to decode evidence and cast their formal vote for “whodunit”. If you show up early, you might even be handed a minor speaking line, an action, or a prop to use during the show!
Attire: Wedding guest attire or over-the-top costumes are highly encouraged.
PARTICIPATION IS 100% OPTIONAL: Guests and also opt to just sit back and enjoy as the mystery unfolds around them.

THE MURDER IS A DRAG SERIES

We have four chapters of Murder is a Drag. Each chapter takes place in a different setting with a different murder victim and 3 different suspects, plus a detective host. These original murder mystery shows are Vancouver Mysteries productions based on scripts written by Tanya Bennett, the owner of Vancouver Mysteries, and are not available anywhere else at this time. You don’t need to see the shows in any particular order – each chapter in the series is a separate murder mystery with a new story and new suspects.

We went as a party of 5 to this special event in Vancouver, and had a ball. The premise was attending a memorial service for someone who died, and as it played out, it was found to be a murder. It was all performed by drag performers, and it was totally engaging , interesting and fun. I was done while enjoying a dinner and kept up a good pace, while still allowing you to enjoy your meal. God job - we would definitely do it again!

This Vancouver Mysteries show was a fully performed witty and hilarious drag whodunit play that paired well with cocktails and dinner, with lip synced musical numbers from each cast member, as well as plenty of audience interaction and participation. We all needed to pay close attention to what the performers were saying so that we could help catch the killer.
