MELODY MANGLER JOINS MURDER IS A DRAG

Vancouver Mysteries is thrilled to welcome Melody Mangler to the Murder is a Drag Ensemble for the production of Chapter 1: Dinner Date With Death on Friday July 10, 2026.

Melody Mangler is a world-renowned performer, producer and costume maker. This East Van icon and local legend brings her exuberant stage presence to stages all over Vancouver and beyond, including featured performer roles at Crossroads Cabaret. She is also the producer behind iconic shows such as Glam Slam, Dreadful Delights, Garden of Delights and Beyond Bizarre and she is one of the original founders of the Vancouver Burlesque Festival.
We are beyond delighted to introduce her as our newest host. She has already hosted a private Murder is a Drag show earlier this year. Friday July 10 2026 will be her first appearance at one of our public ticketed Murder is a Drag shows, so don’t miss it!

Join us for Murder is a Drag: Dinner Date With Death, the original chapter of  the Murder is a Drag series that premiered at the Show Cellar in 2024. Coming to our home theatre underneath the Historic Woodwards Building on July 10 (Doors 7PM, Show 8PM) with:

Introducing host Melody Mangler with: Dandy (the detective), Glimmer Rouge, Queen Kong and Just Jenny (the suspects). Mark returns to co-host the show and Seb will be there as DJ Watson.

Dinner Date With Death is set at Tony’s Show Lounge & Bar – seating is general admission.

Interact with the suspects, solve a puzzle, collect clues and help our detective solve the murder! There are four different Murder is a Drag shows (so far!) – each one is a different chapter in the show series. They are standalone shows (you don’t need to see them in any particular order).
