JORDY MATHESON JOINS MURDER IS A DRAG

Vancouver Mysteries is thrilled to welcome Jordy Matheson to the Murder is a Drag Ensemble for the production of Chapter 4: Killer Birthday on Friday June 12, 2026.

Jordy Matheson is a theatre artist and comedian residing in Vancouver. He is a graduate of the Douglas College acting program, and has a BA in Theatre Studies from UBC. As an actor he primarily works in improv and live comedy, performing with Tightrope Theatre, QueerProv, Little Mountain Improv and others. He has also had plays developed through Pull Festival and Arts Club’s LEAP program.
Jordy also appeared as Mr. Fabergé in Dandy’s 4th Annual Faberge Ball, a comedy cabaret, last month. Dandy was unavailable for our June Murder is a Drag show and introduced us to Jordy (thank you!).

This is Jordy’s first Murder is a Drag show and we can’t wait to see his spin on our detective character!

GLIMMER ROUGE

Glimmer Rouge joined the Murder is a Drag ensemble in 2025 and has now appeared in all four shows!

QUEEN KONG

Queen Kong joined Murder is a Drag in November 2025 and has now appeared in all four chapters of Murder is a Drag.

BEN ANNA SPLIT

Ben Anna Split joined our ensemble earlier this year for six Dine Out Vancouver Festival shows.

Join us for Murder is a Drag: Killer Birthday, the fourth (and newest) chapter of  the Murder is a Drag series that premiered during Dine Out Vancouver Festival earlier this year. Coming to our home theatre underneath the Historic Woodwards Building on June 12 (Doors 7PM, Show 8PM) with:

Introducing comedian Jordy Matheson (the detective) with the original cast members for this show: Glimmer Rouge (Sandee the birthday girl), Queen Kong (Virginia) and Ben Anna Split (Clark).

Killer Birthday is set at a surprise birthday party – seating is general admission.

Interact with the suspects, solve a puzzle, collect clues and help our detective solve the murder! There are four different Murder is a Drag shows (so far!) – each one is a different chapter in the show series. They are standalone shows (you don’t need to see them in any particular order).
