Job posting – Mission Control Leader

January 2016

30-40 hours per week

Vancouver Mysteries seeks a sharp, highly-organized, tech-savvy individual who will manage the company’s Mission Control: taking charge of operations, customer service, sales, and a team of Game Operators.

You’ll be at the heart of a successful, fast-growing company that has bold plans for the future.

You’ll be available to work a minimum of 30 hours per-week, with up to 40 hours per-week (or more) during the summer months.

Examples of experiences that would suit this position include:
-Event management
-Theatre or film production, stage management, front of house management, box office
-Retail management

You will need to be able to demonstrate the following areas of competency:
-You enjoy being organized and well prepared
-You’ve been told you have excellent attention to detail
-You have initiative and you are a critical thinker
-You love serving customers and working with people
-You’re the kind of person who keeps their email inbox under control
-You’ve got strong written and verbal communication skills
-You’ve got a keen interest in new technology
-You’ve worked in an office before – typing, intermediate-level competency with word processing & spreadsheet software, and a professional phone manner are all in your locker.
-You love solving problems and puzzles, including word, tactile, math, and simple code-breaking.

Beneficial, but not essential:
-Public speaking or performance background
-Photoshop and/or Illustrator proficiency
-Experience in blogging, social media, SEO, or online advertising
