THE VANCOUVER POLICE MUSEUM

Visit the Vancouver Police Museum to be immersed in the tools, stories and history of detective work and forensics in Vancouver.
The museum also hosts mysterious (and sometimes scary!) events such as Movies at the Morgue, True Crime trivia nights and tours. The Vancouver Police Museum & Archives is an independently run museum and a registered charity.
For more information about their special events, hours of operation and exhibits please visit vancouverpolicemuseum.ca.
A Big Thank You!
When Vancouver Mysteries was looking for a vintage police uniform to create a prop for our Murder at the Movies immersive experience, we reached out to the Vancouver Police Museum.
The Museum Director Kristie Strauss enthusiastically helped us on short notice and we were able to put together a photoshoot so that I could get the prop designed and printed. (Thanks Kristie!).
One of our Game Operators also agreed to come down to the Police Museum to be our model. (Thanks Christine!)
Did you see this prop at our summer showing of Murder at the Movies at the VIFF Centre? If you missed our show, you’ll want to subscribe to our newsletter so you don’t miss the next one (we are already planning it’s return!).
If you are interested in Vancouver history and/or forensics, we encourage you to visit the Vancouver Police Museum. The building served as the city morgue until 1980 and there is a recreated 1970s autopsy suite you can visit (definitely haunted!).
The Vancouver Police Museum pairs perfectly with the Vancouver Mysteries outdoor escape game Crime In Downtown (a murder mystery in Gastown). Check out our blog post: City Adventures: Detective For A Day for an itinerary for a detective day trip.
