Vancouver Mysteries is thrilled to launch our newest portable game The Legend of the Gastown Gold in downtown Vancouver during the 2025 Dine Out Festival.
The Mystery: Solve the Legend of the Gastown Gold at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Vancouver Downtown Suites at 550 West Hastings Street – a Vancouver Mysteries game experience set in the wild west coast in 1886. This experience includes a detective to start your mystery and help with clues if you get stuck. A Vancouver Mysteries detective will meet you in the hotel’s lobby lounge with everything you need to play including a crate full of artifacts that you will need to use to solve the mystery. You have 90 minutes to figure out where the gold is buried? Can you solve the puzzles, crack the codes and unlock the boxes to collect the clues?
The Culinary Experience: This experience includes one drink per person (house beer/wine) and a delicious Stock Board to share between two people. Sign up in teams of 2 to 10 people.. This Dine Out Fest experience is a partnership between Vancouver Mysteries and Stock and Supply restaurant, located inside the hotel.

- Availability – January 22 through to February 9 2025, daily at 4PM plus 7PM every night except Friday and Saturday
- Location – meet your detective in the lobby of the Delta Hotels Vancouver Downtown Suites at 550 West Hastings Street
- Price– special Dine Out price is $70 per person inclusive (includes all fees, taxes and gratuity). Note: you pay Vancouver Mysteries for the experience when you book ($31.83 per person – this is also you deposit and reserves your spots at the table). You pay Stock and Supply for the dining portion of this experience on site ($38.17 per person – if you order more drinks/food they will be added to your bill).
- Duration – you have 90 minutes to solve the mystery but allow for 2-3 hours for the introduction, the game and the Stock Boards afterwards
- Capacity – there are only 10 seats available for each time slot and they are first come, first serve (deposit required to reserve your spot). Minimum 2 people to sign up, maximum 10. You can buy out a whole time slot if you book for 10 people.
- Dietary Restrictions/Allergies – please let your server know when you arrive.
- Accessiblity – wheelchair access from the Seymour Street entrance. This experience happens at a high-top (bar height) table. There is an audio clue, small print, dim lighting and some puzzles requiring fine motor skills. If anyone in your party has concerns about the seating, lighting, background noise or fine motor mobility required please contact us.
- This experience is 19+ unless you buy out the time slot (if so, recommended age is 12+).
How Does it Work?
This is a collaborative and social experience – you will be seated with other groups who have signed up for the same time slot and solve the mystery together.
You will be seated during this experience – players are seated at a long table in the hotel lobby lounge during the game, solving escape room style challenges. The servers from Stock and Supply restaurant will serve you food/drinks at your table. Arrive on time to get your drink orders in before the experience begins. Then, enjoy your Stock Boards after the game (one Stock Board to share between every 2 people, with adjustments made for parties who sign up in uneven numbers).
(If you’d like to book a private experience, you will need to book at least 8 spots for the night you choose or contact us and we can bring this portable mystery experience to you for up to 50 people starting February 10 2025.)
